had to return a pint, which was fine, barrels end, but the suggested replacement was as bad. midweek i doubt they have the volume to keep the beer well, shame, as i want to like it here, but of 5 visits, 2 had beer issues... a poor percentage

Many thanks to Kieran and staff for staying open all through last night's snow storm and providing shelter for many of those stuck on the A272 (including my wife). Well done guys.

A traditional pub expanded into a larger roadhouse offering standard Hall & Woodhouse menu. Sunday lunch was reasonable. Beer ok but uninspiring, Efficient service at a busy time.

What a joy. Always busy but never too busy. Excellent food, good friendly staff and all reasonably priced. My old auntie loves it!

Big flintstoned pub, just out of Petersfield on the Winchester Road (A272). More a cavernous family food barn than a pub, at first glance somewhat in the Wetherspoons/ Chef & Brewer style but offering a wide-ranging and decent menu of steaks, salads, pastas and many more interesting and exotic items. Several vegetarian options, many choices available as 'small appetite' versions which is a nice touch (kids classics of the 'dinosaur feet variety' also available if you ask). Hall and Woodhouse beers (really good Fursty Ferret when we dropped in). Decent table wine. Outside tables too. If you don't enjoy dining surrounded by family tables and lots of children, you won't like it. If you have those children and families to entertain yourself, however, you might appreciate it a little more.

Easily the best pub in the area for a good, reasonably priced meal. The ambience is terrific - oak beams and floors, flagstones, candles and open fires. The service was first class and relaxed and friendly. Foord, beers and wines all delicious. I always visit when I'm in the area.

Excellent pub! Food is really lovely, with a mixture of good tasting 'pub grub' along with a mixture of other delicious tasting food! All the food tastes freshly cooked, and the service is really efficient and friendly.
You can always get a table inside or outside the pub, and there are large enough tables to fit groups of 6 or more at a time.

Excellent family dining pub. Wlle kept beers, especially Fursty Ferrett.

Good food at reasonable price and you can eat all day - good for a family for late lunch or early dinner. small play area for the kiddies. Exceptionally clean toilets, with BBC7 palying in the gents.
