In response to comments below.... Ashley and Jill have introduced a no swearing policy aimed at those who cannot express themselves without using the f word between each other word. Not suprising then that "pissflap" isn't impressed, nor the so called pilgrim who can't even spell a swear word properly. What a sad, sad bunch.

Recently changed hands and now being run by Ashley and Jill. The pub has had a terrible reputation for many years but when we went in it was friendly and cozy with Jill topping up the open fire with a couple of logs. The ale looked well kept and the larger crisp and refreshing. We tried one of Ashes homemade pasty's and weren't disappointed. No wonder they've won awards. I hope the locals give it a try, Ashley and Jill deserve the support and the other pubs in the area have now got decent competition. We'll certainly be going back next time we're staying with family in Cornwall again.
