First Visit for a while.

Had a pint of Batemans Bloomy Marvelous and it was lovely.

Another Nicholsons pub which are usually a safe bet.

Typical Nicholson's pub. Busy at street level, but worth looking downstairs if you want to sit down. OK pint of Thwaites Wainwright.

I've just got back from lunch there, and the food is awful. My sausages were microwaved to oblivion, so much so that I couldn't get my knife into them. When i complained, the member of staff just looked at me blankly, until we suggested that he might like to tell the manager. Who then didn't sort out my complaint, and our lunch hour was up so we had to leave.

Plus, I asked for a Bloody Mary, and got a Merlot!!! Maybe it's a language barrier, as the majority of the staff are eastern european, but not good for a busy pub in the City.

I work part-time in a pub, so am very conscious of customer service issues, and as said below, this pub needs to buck it's ideas up.

Will only go back because it's so close to work.

OK Nicholson's Pub but nowhere near as good as the Ship just round the corner. Service was good and the pub wasnt too busy on a Friday lunchtime. My beer was adequate.

One one staff member at lunchtime and all the beer was off. Has potential but needs to buck its ideas up.

Only went in this place for the 1st time last week and I have to say I really liked it. It's out of the way but has it's busy times esp. Friday afternoon and the bar staff helped me with my big round to carry away. 3 London Pride's weren't bad either so I'll be back to try the rest. Thank you.

Great location and appearance but poor beer - fortunately quiet on Monday evening

Fairly bog standard Nicholson's pub. Yes, it might have the Cask Marque plaque, but I don't think it stands for much these days. Big cellar for group drinking, but that is about it really.

Something that is a right pain in the arse - the pub is in a mobile black spot. No coverage whatsoever.

What a great pub - good loaction, can stand outside in the dry, and beer served in mugs!! BUT ... what a bland choice of bitters. And if I get a short measure here again, I will ask for it Cask Marque to be removed!!
