Had a pleasant drink with my dad here once.

Visited this pub for the first time last night, with 7 friends for a meal together. Very friendly staff, comfortable bar and restaurant, and a quiet, very well-trained dog who wouldn't enter the restaurant area.
The meals were excellent. Large portions, with a good range of vegetables on the plate. There was a good range of vegetarian options. I wish I had ordered Aubergine & Walnut Bake - my friend did and said it was excellent. Maybe next time..........

Fairly average and I must say a bit of a disappointment - maybe my expectations were too high?
This pub holds an annual beer festival, so I expected great things. There was the usual Hall & Woodhouse ales, I didn't see a guest ale - my wife enjoyed her wine and the food was OK (but I suspect it was not home-made as described).
Nothing wrong - just average.

Something of a mix of styles here. Low beamed ceilings (not all orig timber), wood & carpetted floor around small central new-wood bar. Down a few steps to open, but separate, dining room, nicely laid out with inglenook & faux(?) wood burning stove. Even larger inglenook bar side, walls decorated with prints, some brasses, old wine box lids (chateauneuf/bordeaux/chablis). Passed large grass garden on approach, picnic sets. Pub-grub style mains such as curry/lasagne/various pies 9-10. Receipts on wall indicate the pub to be an exceptional fund raiser (6k in 2 rcpts!) so is presumably a real community local to achieve that; I notice they have a shut-the-box comp each Fri with a rollover bonus prize. Not too remarkable for the casual visitor, and the warbling soundtrack (Lionel Ritchie stylee) was slightly too loud for 12:30, but the Fursty Ferret was good (2.90) and also served Badger Best and K&B Sussex. I would strongly discourage anyone from the temptation to walk here along the dangerous A24 but, instead, check times of bus93 from Horsham or Warnham.

Good old fashioned british boozer - a warm welcome - well kept beer and friendly bunch of locals

A very traditional Englosh pub with excellent traditional pub fayre. Badgers and Harveys on tap, togheter with friendly locals, a very helpful and courteous landlady, all create a relaxed and convivial atmosphere. Good choice for starters, mains and dessert, no prolonged wait, so all in all, recommended.

A real pub with a very warm and friendly welcome. Fantastic food at very reasonable prices. Locals very friendly. In short a great place to eat and drink.

Just won the South East Fundraising Pub of the Year. Beer is still superb and food and atmosphere are great too. It is know wonder the customers are always willing to throw a few coins in the wishing well and and back the many charitable events the pub puts on.

As close to a traditional village pub as is available these days. A small cosy pub with nice gardens and outside seating. A friendly welcome awaits locals and strangers alike. Be prepared to get chatting even if you are on your own. Real ale is kept extremely well, with two Badger beers and usually a guest. Licensees have been there since Christmas 2005 and food custom is building rapidly. Pub is on two levels with restaurant seating in the lower bar although customers are welcome to sit anywhere.
