This is the trendiest bar that I have been to in Brighton. Went there on Easter Sunday early evening. My advice is to stick the bottles of beer in this place. Great vibe and music.

I thought decor was OK. Arrived at 7pm. Was told I could not sit in a booth as they were all reserved from 9pm ? Appalled by level of staff training. Asked for an Ale and was offered either Kronenburg or Fosters. So intead I said Bitter. Waitress had never heard of it. I asked for Guiness. She hadn't heard of that either. Later ordered wine from barman, but he couldn't operate the cork screw (just an ordinary screw in winged corkscrew). They must go a very long way to find staff that stupid. Plenty of eye candy, but I guess management didn't recruit them!

I thought the decor was funky and it wasn't too bad when it was empty. But then it started filling up and the music was turned up and it got too much. Had to leave and find a more chilled out bar.

Pleasant enough place to sit outside on a sunny day (just!) but once inside it's a different story, particularly in the evenings at the weekends, it's a bit like a down market Barbie & Ken convention with so much fake Burberry and bling around it makes your head spin. Bar staff are slow and at times down right rude. So if you're into being insulted, squashed against the bar by silcone boobs and having you senses assualted from all sides by over loud music and cheap perfume then this is the place for you. ENJOY

Nice place to sit and watch the world go by on a sunny day. Take a picnic.

Having had a great day on Saturday we decided to find a nice place to finish off our weekend - bad mistake. Unfortunatly we decided to visit Karma. It was at the time not busy, I am a catering manager myself and found the level of standards here somewhat embarassing. Staff were unorganised - 4, yes 4 different staff asked us whether we had ordered, this was after the 15 mintutes we waited for our drinks. Although the food just about matched its price, for an establishment in the heart of what is one the 'places to go in Brighton', the manager or owners need to have a hard think about how much they pay the 11 + staff that were operating this place - or they could just take a couple of steps further and throw it in the sea. Sorry to say but myself and anyone else that asks me how my weekend was will not be going to Karma any time soon.

Possibly the worst place ever stay well away. Brain dead staff enforcing a draconian pro chav dress policy. Place is full of want to be millionaires who work at McDonalds all week and spend their entire weeks wages on a couple of bottles of champagne in a vain attempt to attract ladies. If you are looking for all the try hards you have found the right place.

Had an excellent first evening there - it was recommended by friends. Good music and staff friendly. Syntax of the anonymous message on 10/8 indicates foreign - were other factors in play? JW
