The unprepossessing pub has a good selection of local beers and variety of whiskies. Locals and tourists mix and enjoy the variety of tasty, homecooked food dishes. Slightly dark interior but this is made up with the warmth of the welcome. Easily accessible by bus from Edinburgh and well worth a visit if you are in the area.

This is a class pub. Really good beer - always 5 hand pulls including Deuchars. Must be about 100 whiskies. Great staff, led by the lovely Linda. Food is amazingly good value & quality. Free WiFi. Locals friendly and location super. OK so sometimes it's a bit busy with touristy folk, but it's a small price to pay.

Three of us paid a visit last Monday. Within in a minute we were included in a conversation with some very decent locals. The beer was very good, unfortunately the Caledonian 80 bob was off, but the Harvistoun Bitter and Twisted and Caledonian Octoberfest were great. Really friendly pub, great position, will return.

Fabulous bar food at realistic bar food prices. Much better than some of the pretentious over-priced places on the other side of the street. Great beer and a good atmosphere.

A great little pub with good food. My last minutes as a single man were spent in there before I got married in the Registry Office across the road. Upon being told that my wife to be was from Argentina, the locals reacted by thanking her for the "Hand of God" (Maradona's hand balled goal against England in the World Cup). I always pay it a visit whenever I go to South Queensferry.

One of the most smokiest pubs I have been in. (Won't be a problem come Mar 2006!!) Nevertheless this place has a nice feel about it. Good beer and homemade food of the highest order!!! Best pub in the town by a long stretch.

This place ahs character - very low ceiling, lots of nautical flavour - it's a stones throw from the sea. Good beers, but can be very cliqueish with older clientele.

Old building with barrel vaulted ceiling and fairly dark located between the bridges. Good burger and other light meals and excellent ales
