Fairly boring gin palace in a side street. Nice interior feeling a bit tatty around the edges and just the one ale on though it was alright.

Stayed in Preston a couple of weekends ago whilst we were down for the Hibs v Blackburn & Bolton games, whats happened to the Northern Soul nights @ Hartleys?

this pub is amazing! its like stepping back in time it feels really grand thats the only word i can think of to describe it. the atmosphere is great with jazz music playing and as it was hot we sat out on the front terrace. I had fish and "proper" chips and it was gorgeous. cheap too. the staff are really friendly and there is a top looking barmaid. I had a pint of a cask ale called cocker hoop which was perfect and at 2.60 i didnt think it was bad so i thought the last comment was a bit harsh. the place is very clean its just really hard to describe the interior really glad i found this pub as i thought it had closed years ago.

Believe there has been a change of landlord earlier this year... There was only a poor and expensive Jennings Cumberland cask ale on today.

Great little pub with good food, stairs not really that bad and has a tiny veranda to sit outside on. Nice choice of lagers.

Great range of beers (real ales change all the time) and good food, but what has happened to the staff in recent weeks? Gone are the friendly hard-working ones. But I suppose as the manager is lazy, rude and obnoxious the new staff are following his example!! i've given the place an average rating as I have fond memories of this place, but the staff need to improve soon, otherwise after several years a a loyal customer I'll be going elsewhere for my luntime pint.

Pub used to be a small place called "The Oddfellows",this was knocked into the chip shop next door and is very large, not bad beer (Jennings) but it has one major drawback, the toilets are up a huge flight of stairs,I asked if their was a disabled toilet and was told "theres no room for one" so if your poor on stairs avoid this place.
