My third Wetherspoons of the day today, and I truly came back down to earth with a bump in this one, following my good experiences in the George in Wanstead. The Millers Well was everything you come to expect of a typical Wetherspoons. Whilst the drinks range is good, the characters that frequent the place are at best amusing, but at worst downright annoying. Many are clearly beyond help, which I was also soon to be after getting a masala dosa all over me whilst attempting to consume it on East Ham High St. But that's a different story. This place was extremely popular. Finding a table was difficult. The beer range was extensive - Weltons Our England, Magog & Red Cross Mild, Deuchars IPA, Inveralmond Thrappledouser, Ruddles Best, Hook Norton Old Hooky, Oakham JHB, Nethergate Essex Best, Mauldons Silver Adder and Greene King IPA. Cider from the box in the fridge was Westons Marcle Hill. Could be a nice pub, if it wasn't for some of the people that drink themselves into oblivion there.

Visited yesterday afternoon ahead of Stokes game with West Ham. The service was excellent and the Hammers fans in the pub were true Gents and Ladies. I would definately recomend to sensible away fans.

good beer, altho service a bit variable on WH match days. better than average for a wetherspoons

As said food is abysmal, good selection of beers though be it real ales or international lagers etc.
Gets busy on Friday night, quite a few women.
Full of old alcos inthe daytime though. Probably the best in the area.

I saw mice in here one afternoon carrying some dropped food back to their hole and coming back for the rest of it. In all it took about 8 or 9 trips. Thats better entertainment than a duke box, a live band or a ranting nutcase.
Beer ain't bad either. Don't eat the food, unless you want the mice offering you out!

Service here is truly awful, barmaids fail to keep track of who's next, are incredibly slow and can't pull pints to save their lives. Sparklers on the beer pumps don't help with a frothy head, either.

I walk past every morning at about 9:45 and see the same old guys in the corner in the same seats with the same drinks as if they have camped there all night! Not a bad local Wetherspoons, food is ok and some clientele are a little paranoid if you're not a regular but all and all t'is ok here.

Its a brill pub if you want to catch up and have a chat with firends descent prices, food not bad at all there is a bit of a wait and it need a clean up after a person has finished at the table which will not happen unless you ask for a cloth and do it yourself I have found this on several occasions but overall not a bad pub and you get a good crowd in there and dont feel that there could be a puch up at any time which is unusual for any pub at mo.

Pubs in East Ham... there really isn't much of a choice but this is probably the best of a bad bunch. OK for a sunday lunch. Food is fine but, as mentioned, you will have to wait a while. Re. earlier reviewer's comment, I live in East Ham and yes, it is a cesspit! (Moving away soon.)

Probably your only bet for real ale in the area (though that pub on Plaistow is high street is great), but quality was well down on a couple of years ago, and it's out of the Beer Guide. On the other hand, I quite like the East London 'Spoons with their more local feel, and this one is not as shabby as those east of the Circular. Sunday lunches looked really good, don't know about waits !

As someone previously said, the best pub in the area although thats not saying much for East Ham. If your in there on a matchday, expect to wait a long time to get served.

Excellent pre- and post-match pub for home and away fans. Good changing selection of beers, and well kept.
Food has always been OK on match days, but can take a while. Takes about 15-20 mins walk to Upton Park (catch a bus if you leave it late....)

Typical JDW outlet,low prices,poor service,filthy tables,ashtrays overflowing,cramped dirty toilets.
Avoid like the plague on West Ham matchdays.
It is rumoured there is a manager, but no-one has ever seen him to my knowledge.
Shame,as there are some real characters-check out Grumpy George,Bilge and Sausage Fingers Ron.

Its ok apart from being a Weherspoons and even worse it is in East Ham.........Yukk what a cesspit that area is.

The drink is the cheapest in the area, but this makes the rest of the place suffer. I have been in here a number of times where there has been problems with the kitchen (chef not turned up, microwave broken etc.) the general wait for food is about 45mins. Tables are never cleaned so I'd stay away from the food. OK if you just want a quick quiet pint as there is no entertainment or music.
