The Rambler Country House, Edale

I had the misfortune to stay at the Rambler Country House. I booked my room in March a twin room no confirmation was sent,they only take Credit Card No.
I arived at 3pm and paid the manager �76-00 for one night I was shown to a double room, I explained this was no good as the room was for myself and my brother she told me they had no twin rooms left as they were all full,she then told me it was not her fault as the person that booked my room in the first place had now left there employment. She then explained they had one more double room that was available,I could have that, but I would have to pay for it,at this point I told her it was there clanger and I could not see any reason why I should pay. After 2 heated meetings she said they would put a camp bed in the double room, only compensation she gave me and my brother a free point in the evening, so as far as I am concerned you pays your money and takes your choice at �76 a night.You will not see me there again.
