Fairfield Arms, Audenshaw

Situated in the suburb of Audenshaw, this once privately owned house dates back to 1870. Sympathetic changes have been made, including the addition of a large conservatory, but features from the original Victorian house have been retained, including old-fashioned fireplaces, tiled floors, high ceilings and beautiful stained-glass windows.

From the moment you step through the doors, prepare to be seduced by the pub's classy interior. A beautiful chandelier lights up the cosy, intimate bar area, which leads to the restaurant upstairs. Peruse the main menu and specials board while sipping a beverage of choice; the bar is fully stocked with a comprehensive choice of wines, beers, spirits and soft drinks. You can expect a wide range of choice from the menu; a typical starter might include a homemade beetroot and goat's cheese tart or Scottish smoked salmon on a potato and chive cake, while the mains menu boasts an impressive selection of traditional dishes.

Perfect for those times when you may be in somewhat of a hurry, the Fairfield Arms offers a convenient pre-order service. So, if you're on a strict lunch hour, or perhaps on the way to the cinema or airport, you needn't worry about waiting on your order - instead, simply relax and enjoy your food in plenty of time.

Making the most of the stunning building in which it is housed, the venue lends itself perfectly to functions. Why not consider the Fairfield Arms for a wedding reception, birthday party, business conference or summer party? The function room, located in the basement, boasts its own bar and offers enough space to accommodate up to 90 guests - just call to discuss your requirements.

With its unique exterior and excellent location, a visit to the Fairfield Arms is a must. If you're looking for somewhere a little different to dine, your search is over.

was there on the same night as the reviewer posted 25th sep 2011. It was a very busy evening indeed and the bar staff coped well they knew of the leaving party from a local company coming in, but due to more diners and drinkers visiting the pub that night they were all pushed.. due to the fact that pub operators are controlling costs and labour is the main factor good operators don't have staff coming out of there ears thats why they are surviving ..
