The Crown, South Moreton

This place has gone througha troubled period which can be wholy attributed to the brewery.

Has been under new management since Jan 2011 so you I gues you should ignore any reviews prior to then.

We dont't visit very often, but have been quite dissappointed the last couple of times (2009/2010).

But we saw on the web that new management is in now in place. It is fair to say that they are still suffering from the harm previously done by the brewery. As such, it is quiet and seems a little lacking in atmosphere (but this was very early Saturday evening).

However, the quality of the food has made a monumental leap in quality when compared with 12 months ago.

If you are in the Didcot area and want to get away from the "town pub" then a trip out to Morton is well worth it..
