The Lamb Inn, Hindon

As the last reviewer mentioned this is a great half-way stop on a drive between London and Devon. I've been here a few times now and always found it to be good. The food is tasty, the ales are fine and there's a great wine list and selection of whiskeys. The service can be a little slow when it's busy but I've always found the staff friendly and helpful. Lovely atmosphere and the open fires in winter are a real treat. I would definitely recommend it if you are in the area.

Inn With The Wall, Ogbourne St George

I can't understand the other positive comments, this place is grim. The best thing I can say about the food is that it didn't make us sick. The ale was ok, nothing special though. The well is worth a look (it distracts frome the depressing interior), so if you must come here, have an ale while you look down the well but DON'T eat!
