The Chequers, Fordham

A very friendly hostelry, set in the town itself. Good beer and friendly bar staff. They have a Bistro that serves food to die for. Even better they also have a superb curry menu, which can be eaten in house or served as a take-away.
One downside is that the upstairs dining room can be very hot during the summer months.
Saturday nights are generally very busy so it is advisable to book if you wish to eat here. It is not a fast food outlet so you can dine at your own pace without being rushed by the staff.
