The Gipsy Moth, Greenwich

Visited this pub and it was LOVELY!!! The food was SO good!! We couldnt stay for as long as we would have liked as we had tickets at the O2 booked but will be going back VERY soon!!!
The staff were so NICE!! There was a very polite young man who served us and told us all about the history of Greenwich which was so interesting!!!

I am responding to the comment left by VINNIE. I am visitng the UK from New York for a month sabbatical and only arrived LAST WEEK!!!!!
I found this pub recommended in the New York Post and when visiting Greenwich wanted to visit it as the reviews in there were excellent!! I find it highly insulting that you would say I am not a 'genuine' reviewer as this is just the first pub of many I intend to visit and review!!! Dont judge everyone with the same eyes!!!
My partner and I ARE real english pub fans and your negative attititue is sadly one of the things that ruins this county. You get the friendly lovely english people and then people like you!!!

The Cutty Sark Tavern, Greenwich

I went to this pub on Saturday and WOW!!!!
We went for one drink and ended up staying for lunch and dinner. The decor, the staff, the atmosphere, the food, EVERYTHING was AMAZING!!!!
We were made to feel so welcome, the manager talked to us, let us try the ales and actually convinced us to buy a few pints of pride which as wine drinkers was quite an achievement!!!!
At the food bit, we were served by a lovely friendly dark haired girl (maybe the rude one mentioned in previous comments is no longer there as we didn�t see a blonde member of staff!!!!) The fish and chips we got for lunch were so good; my other half had them again for dinner!!!!!
The vibe in the bar area was so good for a Saturday rainy cold afternoon, it was like walking into a different zone!!!!
LOVED IT LOVED IT LOVED IT!!!!!
Visit this pub as soon as you can, its so good!!!!
