The Black Sheep Brewery, Masham

The beer is well kept as you would expect. It is one of the few places that you can get Yorkshire Square Ale which is fermented in traditional open top slate squares. This is easily my favourite black sheep ale and is also available in bottles from the onsite gift shop. The bar area feels light and modern and has bistro style seating. It gets very busy at weekends and shuts early.

The White Bear, Masham

The White Bear is easily the best pub in Masham. The beer, food and wine are all excellent. Theakstons beer is served at its best, just round the corner from where it is made. The menu is comprehensive with a good selection of wines to accompany.
The accommodation has recently been extended and renovated to a high standard and the rooms are given names of local interest. All the rooms are good however the penthouse suite is exceptional. I would recommend booking early as they are guaranteed plenty of repeat business especially in summer.
Food is all prepared in house with seasonal variations.
In winter open fires make the place warm and inviting and in summer the seating area at the front catches the sun.
The staff are friendly and approachable.
I cannot recommend this place highly enough.
