The City Retreat, Holborn

Don't be put off by the non-descript exterior, compared to the surrounding drinking holes once inside this place can be described as nothing less than refreshing. The pub seems to have a strong following with the surrounding offices and the friendly staff and cosy atmosphere makes it easy to see why. Great whisy selection too - if you're interested just ask the manager, he was more than happy to make a few recommendations.
