The Pickwick Inn, St Issey

if you're looking for that Cornish pub experienced you remember as a kid - hidden down tiny lanes, climbing frames in garden, distant views over the sea, low ceilings, beams horse brasses, then this is the place you want... I imagine it gets very busy in season so arrive early, as we did and got a very comfortable table for our party of three adults and three older kids.
Expect to pay a premium for the location, the main courses we had were better than expected and I'd definately return to eat when next in the area.
Two watch outs - the beer was a lttle too warm, real ale should be served cellar temperature as opposed to kitchen temperature... and this was in April... The profiteroles were very dry and not worthy of the �5+ price tag, kids ended up leaving them. That said, the rib-eye steaks were one of the best tasted...
