The Marlborough, Richmond

me and my girlfriends popped in to this pub on lunch time, and i couldnt disagree more with the bad comments the guy with the avant garde beard lets call him ming the merceless couldnt have been nicer he had a great sense of humour and was very helpful, after learning that I had ruptured 2 discs in my back he made me as comfortable as he could and even served us our lunch in the garden which apparently you usually have to collect. The food was great and I liked the pub so much I talked my husband into going back the following saturday night which happened to have a live band playing I cant remember the bands name but they were brilliant, the atmospher was great and everyone was enjoying themselves, yes you did have a short wait for a drink but lets face it the reason you go to a busy pub with a great atmospher is not only for a drink but for the buzz of the place, otherwise just pop along to you local old mans pub that has three cusomers, a dog and a tv that way you'll get a really fast pint . all the staff were great and adding to the atmospher and I meet the manageress natalie who was greet fun and made sure everyone was having a good time. Im now planning to return on a tuesday night as that is quiz night and run by ming, who may think he can defeat the earth but will not defeat the quiz i will dispatch ajax to bring back his body.
