Pelican In Her Piety, Ogmore By Sea

All Pubs are blessed with their "Regulars" who will see / hear no bad reviews about "Their Local". The Pelican is no exception. All Publicans know this.
It is also their duty to provide a level of service which ensures visitors may return, or at least reccommend the service to others.
The Pelican is blessed with both it's history and geographical position, truly amazing!
Unfortunately, these last two things are the only two on offer.
In my proffessional capacity I have visited the Pelican and left unimpressed.
The Ale is poorly kept, and was tepid and flat on at least two occasions.
The food was indeed "Normal Pub Fare", but was very slow in coming, warm but not hot, soggy salads.
The Ambiance was ZERO. No one looked happy.
One expects to pay a little over the odds, and tip the staff well in such a "Captive Tourist" spot. But the prices were extortionate, the service awfull.

I would hope this review will encourage the Pelican Management to do something. It may be that you do not care " They are only Tourists"?
