The New Inn, Clifton upon Teme

I stumbled on this pleasant surprise and potential jewel in the Worecstershire countryside, purely by accident! As "Countryman" said, a warm welcome from the new incumbants of this pub with arguably the best views from its elevated position (even when its raining I imagine!) anywhere in the country.

The beer (I tried a couple from the Wye Valley brewery) was excellent and the landlord was extremely knowledgable and helpful in choosing my tipple... without a fuss I might add. It would appear that those locals (a friendly bunch from all walks of life), who preferd keg beers/lagers or ciders were more than impressed with the quality of what was on offer. The place was clean and had character with a something for everyone atmospere.

Although food was not available I was assured that the dining area is to be put to good use in the not too distant future. I can assure the team at The New Inn that we will be back to sample their fare. Great to see that an English pub still exists today, its what it is and pretends to be nothing more. Good luck to them I say!
