Stag, Barkston, Grantham

We called in this pub at 1.45 on Easter Monday looking for lunch. There were a couple of people at the bar looking at menus. The person behind the bar asked if we were looking for food and when we said yes, he said that it was too late. The people looking at the menus were told that they could order. On a board outside it said that food was served until 2 pm. If they had been busy I could have understood this but there were a dozen people in there at most and not all of them were eating. No wonder pubs are closing due to lack of business. This pub has a captive audience being the only one we could find in the vicinity.
