The Gipsy Moth, Greenwich

Did those who enjoyed themselves shift to a parallel universe? My mates and I have come here a couple of times, with the intention of a quick one before going clubbing. I don't know if we were masochists to come the second time but I suppose we didn't believe it possible to have such a bad experience twice. I suppose the second time it was a different type of bad experience but really, we will never darken the doors of this dump again at least not for a long while as really, there is not much that is good in this part of Greenwich. The Trafalgar on the other side of the university is really good though. The first time we found a table, although it was friday night it was a bit early so not too crowded. It took AGES to get served, however, and there was this one guy, sort of short and beetle browed who served us who was just plain rude. He was about forty on up I suppose, a bit old to be a barman I suspect and maybe this made him a bit annoyed. There was a cute bird who served us later who was much nicer, however but she was really busy. Anyway, we got some food as it was early. The food was strangely both cold and burnt. Most of it we just chucked. Bob (my mate) decided we should move on and what do you know? We had had two bags and one wallet stolen. Luckily the bags just had dirty gim clothes in as two of us had been to the gym and were going to drop off the clothes before the club. The wallet, however, had over 100 pounds. Went to the local rozzers but after waiting 40 minutes just to be seen we decided not to bother. Anyway, the evening picked up after that and we really went out on one to make up for it.
The second time, we went for a Sunday chill after being out the night before. I thought breakfast would be nice but it turns out that if you are not there between 10-12 no dice. How ridiculous, on a Sunday? It should be earlier and later cause if the food is not really good (which it isn't) you're certainly not going to make all the effort to be there just for those two hours if you want a fry up. My beer tasted strange (but that might have been the vitamins from the night before) and although the pub was nearly empty it took ages to get served again. There was also a lot of loud, ear bending noise coming from the building site next door. This is the Cutty Sark so maybe we will try again when the ship is finished (obviously my mates and I are Greenwich locals) but for now it's such a shame that a good location place like this is so rubbish.
