The Sloop Inn, St Ives

Upon reading some of the comments on here, I think the Sloop Inn gets a bit of a bad rap. I am a regular who loves this pub and would like to share my observations.

Yes the service can be slow, but I have gradually come to realise that alot of it is to do with the seemingly small amount of staff on. Even on a sunny day in August I have never noticed more than 5 bar staff, and for the amount of people that place has pass through it in one day, that isn't alot. The staff do their best and under the circumstances, they are surprisingly happy.

I agree the prices are pretty steep, and I expect they are going to get steeper. Probably to do with today's economic climate, the fact the government like to put ridiculous tax on alcohol and the fact that the Sloop Inn is one of the most well known pubs in Cornwall. You pay for the beautiful view!

And finally yes, the music needs to be changed. It is rather bad!
