The Bustard Inn, South Rauceby

I live in London and occasionally travel to Lincolnshire to see my parents. we had heard that the Bustard had been renovated and were interested to see what it was like. Very nice indeed, the food and beers were good but the prices were incredible for a rural village. �24.50 for a fillet steak! I wouldn't have to pay that in 90% of West End restaurants, and I'm sure their overheads are larger.

We asked if the burger came with fries we were told they were �2.75 extra. When they arrived there were about 12 of them in a small bowl. Fish and chips was on the menu also, so couldn't a handful be added to the plate gratis? All the dishes seemed overpriced, even a simple salad. Maybe they are trying to scare off previous regulars?
