What more could you want from a local? Proper pub with friendly staff and locals - plenty of good quality real ale from down the road (Harveys) with the occasional guest brew from further afield. Well worth a visit if you're in the area, there are warm fires in the winter and a nice garden for those seemingly rare summer days. Check out the Good Beer Guide 2010 page 450.
