The Teign House Inn, Christow

Starter and main course excellent and good value. Mother-in-law's dessert took ages to come and was stodgy and horrendously sweet (rhubarb crumble drowned in icing sugar, what's that all about?). Service extremely indifferent. Cleared own table as original waitress never to be seen again, barmaid too busy chatting to cronies and fussing over their dogs. She did not wash her hands afterwards and immediately emptied glass washer!!! This turned all our stomachs and thankfully we'd finished our meal by then otherwise we would have sent the food back!
