The Leather Bottle, Blackmore
I have loved The Leather Bottle for many years. It's quaint friendly charm, and cosy atmosphere has always made it a winner. Alas, no more. The new owner has destroyed the village pub.The heart has been ripped from it, and replaced with a sterile grey Witherspoons type pub. Only one bar, no fireplace, no sofas, now great big barrels with a lump of cheap mdf thrown on top as tables. I've tried to fall in love with it, but it's ruined. What a shame. The young owner thought he knew best, but he was sorely mistaken. He won't last very long.
