Visited the Elephant with no prior knowledge about it. Had a meal Saturday evening 6th Nov 2010. Very warm friendly service from Ben and his team. Very pleasant setting with open fire. Food - one rib eye steak and one lamb dish were delicious. All reasonably priced too. A refreshing change from the normal "pub" venues. Couldn't fault it!

Now open again and trading as un upmarket Pub with good food including stonebaked pizzas and Sunday Roasts

The Elephant, Bristol
We booked and were treated to a truly delicious meal, by genuinely caring staff. It was unbelievable value with and we'd happily return for this sort of service. Bare wood tables and floor gives this wonderful city centre pub a clean and natural feel. This is not a boozer with food, or a restaurant with drinks....its a relaxed environment that perfectly balances needs of eaters and drinkers without making either feel unwelcome. Stroll on...
