The Prince of Waterloo, Winford

I Took my girlfriend to the prince of waterloo at winford for a sunday evening meal, upon our arrival we entered the pub through the back entrance and ended up right in the dining area, we walked over too the bar to see what i can only imagine as one of the staff, she had her back to us and was typing a text on her mobile phone, after a couple of minutes waiting i decided to cough to make my presence known, she then turned around and announced that she was not working and called for someone else to serve us, we were served by a helpfull young lady who took our order and served our drinks, we then sat down at a table and awaited our food, i had ordered the 16oz rump steak with chips peas and onion rings, which i requested to be medium to well done as i dont like my steak to be still mooing when its on my plate and definately no blood and my partners meal was thick cut ham with egg and chips. When our food arrived i noticed that my steak was quite a thick cut and to my horror it was still mooing,also the grilled tomato looked as though it had been shown a match but was definately not as cooked as a grilled tomato should be, also my partners thick cut local ham looked like it was out of a packet, i dont normally complain about much but at almost 30 pounds for our meals and one drink each i feel that i should, needless to say i didnt see much point in complaining to the staff , so we ate what we could of our meals and promptly left the premises. We have passed the prince of waterloo on many occsions and have always said that one day we will try it out, well that day was today and i am sorry to say we will not be returning. 25/09/11
