The King James, Cheshunt

The King James has changed considerably in the last couple of years mainly due to the bad reputation it had created (I won't deny some of the previous reviews).

Nowadays, the pub is far more welcoming, expecially following a fair amount of investment into the place - there are several flatscreen television on show, plenty of tables for sitting down (there are smoking and non-smoking areas) and there is a constant presence of bouncers to ensure troublemakers are quickly identified and removed.

The council has also recently installed CCTV operator controlled cameras around the area, which has culminated in trouble being cut dramatically (but it obviously still occurs.)

Prices are good, and the quality is above average. The bar staff are friendly and very prompt.

All in all, it's now probably the best pub in the area, but that perhaps isn't saying much... but I do vist on a regular basis.
