The Bent Arms, Lindfield

Stayed here recently, the accommodation is absolutely disgusting. We stayed in room three. When we arrived we discovered a brown stain in the bed as well as some hairs. Complained to the manager and this was changed. He stated that they must have forgotten to change the bed. We didn�t believe this because the bed was neatly made on our arrival� they simply couldn�t be bothered to change it. Other faults include an incredibly slow filling cistern, no towel rail (just a part of the bracket on the wall where it should be), a shower that was impossible to regulate the temperature, dried toothpaste splattered up the wall by the wash basin (even the little things they clearly can�t be bothered to clean) Even the fire instructions on the back of the door were hanging off. The room was painted a disgusting yellow colour onto wood chip. The bed was bodged together with odd screws, tape and bits of wood. The food downstairs in the bar was quite nice however.
It probably sounds like we are really fussy, this is not the case, yellow paint etc you can put up with but poor cleanliness is not acceptable. We paid �120.00 for two nights, a complete rip off. We thought this area was posh? Not in here. We would not recommend this place at all.
