The Crown Hotel, Manningtree
The Crown is one of my fav pubs, real ale, real food, real atmosphere, really lovely landlady and all other bar staff. In the summer the view across the river is beautiful, the best unwind with a pint I've found in North essex.The accommodation attached makes it a good stop over to explore the area, good breakfast on a Sunday too.
