The Warwick Arms, Kensington

It's not often that I have either the time or the desire to do "pub reviews" but on this occasion I am making an exception. I have been using the Warwick Arms since I moved to Kensington in 2006. Since then I have enjoyed the friendliest and most genuine welcome every time I have visited. The owners are experienced publicans with a lust for life and in my opinion that is reflected in the quality of service given to all customers, old and new. If Indian food is your thing then try it here, it's lovely. About a month ago they started doing a Carvery on Sundays for a very reasonable �9.95 a head, always with a choice of meats. I can't think of anywhere else in Kensington doing such a good deal on fresh carvery food - that tastes really lovely too!! The beer is good too which makes a change from other London pubs (according to my boyfriend!) and there are always deals on their wine and spirits, e.g doubles for the price of a single (spirit changes weekly I think). Try this pub. It's not always busy but that's good too, in my opinion! I'm too old (38) to be squashed in a corner with a bent elbow trying to hear what people are saying!! Friday nights are very busy as a general rule but the standards don't suffer as a result and the regulars all seem extremely friendly. If you hate this pub, I'll be completely surprised.
