The Maypole, Surbiton
This pub is great, I avoided it for ages as frankly in its previous incarnation it was god-awful. But now it's a great little boozer. The bar staff are friendly and have a wicked sense of humour, and despite my infrequent occurance, seem to remember my favoured tipple, something that always brings a smile to my face.
The beer is good, Flowers and Pride, ok nothing flash, but both well cared for. The big screen TV is there for those who love their sport but doesn't impose on those who want to pop in for a quite drink on a match day, and the punters are social and friendly even after the worst hammering.
A really good pub in Surbiton, I reccomend it highly.
