I work in telecoms, enjoy good real ale, a bit of rambling, watching footie and listening to indie music. I spend too much time at work or on the M25 but at least I get to see sunrise

A real gem of a pub. Harvest Pale possibly comes as close to pure drinkable bliss as is possible. Fantastic selection of beers, well served and comfortable chairs, not overly smokey but oozes character. This pub is what a *real* pub should be and thank god it couldn't be replicated as a chain. A must.

The Golden Fleece, Nottingham
Been here once (post Poacher) and it made me feel as though I'd gone into a "living pub experience" but it's still ok. Tuesday night was open mike night and if you like folksy music and real ale, this is the pub for you. Fantastic cider as well
