The Neptune Bar, Aberdeen

I applied for a job here years ago (about 1993) and when I was on the phone I ran out of change and the BT phone cut me off. So I called back after I found some change, about 25 seconds later, and Arlene was very rude to me indeed. Hung up on me, she did. More than 10 years later, I live overseas and still havent forgotten how unpleasant she was. I was quite taken aback. You tend to be when people are just nasty to you and youre trying your best. Needless to say, I didnt get the job. It looks llike one of a million similar dumps that seem to be forever empty or populated with the same few people and not too welcoming at that. Still, they stay open somehow, as all those kind of rough places do. They even have a (hopeless) website now. With a picture (one).
