The Dovecote, Bristol

not much of a greeting, told to find own table. No explanation of procedure for ordering. Had to order at bar which was a problem when ordering sweet because barman was busy serving. Food was brought before table was laid so had to ask for knives/forks etc. Sauces were broght but some had run out. Partners order was wrong (mash but asked for chips) so my meal had become a little cool. Food was no better than average -- seasoned chips just means ordinary frozen chips with with some salt on them. Pub wasn't busy so service should have been good -- it wasn't. Won't go again
