The Black Swan Inn, Culgaith

Found this pub one night in an hour of need & has being
a regular stop ever since. Very cosy, old coach house.
Welcoming owners, staff & locals with beer garden &
open fire has all year round appeal.
3 hand pumps serving their own ales & guest ales.
Good food & accomodation.
Great location for lakes & Eden valley as well as a perfect
stopping point en route to/from scotland been 5 mins off
A66 near Penrith.

The Alexandra Arms, Kettering

What a pub!! 10 Hand pumps have pulled nearly 3000 different real ales in the current landlord's short tenure. Great atmosphere & a warm welcome..CAMRA pub of the year for 2006 in the county. Also has Nobby's brewery brewing on the premises providing one of his beers always on tap. No smoking bar at the front withale memorabilia all over the walls.
Can't recommend it enough
