The Black Horse, Cherhill

Having had a negative experience at The Bridge Inn, Horton earlier in the evening we went over to this pub and met with a lovely welcome and hassle free evening. The food was excellent, the Landlord, Landlady and waitress superb and relaxed. Definite place for us to call too again especially when camping at Blackland Lakes camping site near Calne. A*'s all round!

Bridge Inn, Horton

We called and checked earlier in the day as to what time was the latest we could order food on a Sunday. We were told that so long as we order by about 4.45pm we could still eat. We were met by a surly bloke in the hall at 4.45 who was far from welcoming - rude infact - who told us the kitchen was closed. We ended up at a more welcoming pub - The Black Horse at Cherhill and spent over �120 there! Certainly won't be giving this place any second chance!
