The Pig and Whistle, Walthamstow
I have just got my "Tuesday Quiz fix" after suffering from withdrawal symptoms for the last 2 months whilst the Pig and Whistle was being refurbished.
So whats changed....well
(i) the quizmaster has changed and in turn so have the wisecracks!!! (a good thing...or maybe not!)
(ii) the beer - they are ice cold and fizzy - they even sell a RUSSIAN beer in there now - its a dramatic improvement!!
(iii) the menu - the food is cheap and the chips are REAL chips, lovely jubblee
Unfortuantely the toilets haven't changed tooo much - well we can't have it all eh!
Still its a lovely pub that has kept the low ceiling country feel and I am sure I will keep attending the Tuesday quiz! Long live the P & G!!
