The Beckets Inn, Glastonbury

I agree with westonsfan about the current incument - she is the epitome of politeness to visitors except when they behave in an unacceptable manner. If whatsgoingon's profile is to be believed, he was 13 years old when Joan left - and I've been drinking there 15 years! Ergo, I take his comments with a considerable pinch of salt.

Having said that, the Beckets serve an excellent pint of 6X and the Old Timer, when in season, is to die for. I also particularly like the themed evenings which they have every so often, where they lay on an all-you-can-eat buffet (for a small fee) and you can enjoy the fine ales and good company.

The garden is, IMHO, the finest in Glastonbury - a haven of tranquility and some interesting wildlife, particularly Mr Robin who is known to come into the bar and perch on people's pints!

Not the cheapest pub in town, admittedly, but a great example of a traditional English pub - highly recommended!
