The Old White Bear, Crosshills

Seems that pitbull is still prepared to frequent a pub that's dirty, short of staff and expensive! Obviously a very discerning customer. I believe the pub has a really friendly atmosphere, polite and friendly staff, good, reasonably priced food, prepared by two of the best pub chefs in the area. Admittedly there is room for improvement, but I believe the owners and management are always open to constuctive criticism. Pubs are closing at an alarming rate and if you don't use it you lose it! The "laugher" has all the quality traditional pub goers look for, old world charm, good ale at competitive prices (bearing in mind they have to buy their ale through Enterprise Inns, an organisation that has done its best to hasten the demise of English pubs) friendly and interesting customers and yes a bit of dust! But I believe we would all regret its loss, so pitbull wake up, smell the coffee and go drink somewhere else!
