The Teign House Inn, Christow

Visited this pub again couple of weeks ago, it's very nice pub different owners then last time i visited. Has a oldy worldy feel which i love two open fires, great ale with nice beer garden.
The food is very good and well priced not sure if pizzas fit in oldy worldy pub??? but apart from that it's nice place. Where differently be visiting again very soon. GREAT PLACE!

The Beer Engine, Newton St Cyres

Average pub that thinks it's posh, it's not. Nice looking pub from the outside with nice seating, the insides nice dark wooden bar area, but that's sadly where the word nice ends for this place. We had great welcome if you count great is when you walk up to the bar and the bar man looks over then walks off into the restaurant saying nothing, then comes back "no hello" just what can i get you. We ordered couple pint of the home brew and bottle of bud. Told the barman don't worry about a glass his reply "we don't serve in bottles" fare point if i was dining at THE IVY put I'm not, i'm in a run of the mill pub.
We looked at the menu very overpriced be leave me i work in the catering industry they must have big profit margins. oval review NICE PUB TO VISIT ONCE PUB YOU DEFIANTLY WOULDN'T MAKE IT A TWICE....!

Good pub with good really ales and food, shame about the landlady gob as big as the channel tunnel and the lake of waitressing staff but apart from that good pub.
