The Sloop Inn, Temple Hirst

this is a really odd place, caravan park next to a pub on a bend in the river (i think its the Aire) popped in on a sunday night for a quiet pint having passed it a fair few times. Imagine my surprise on discovering karaoke in full flow. all sorts of people ( i assume a lot from the caravan park behind ) but very friendly, Kim and Aggie would have a field day here but i liked it, friendly and the ale was good and cheap. Bob, the landlord i believe, seemed to be having a good time, what a mad place. definitely worth a random visit

The Wheatsheaf Inn, Burn

i'd heard a lot about this place and its all right, lots of pubs in the area seem to try too hard at times, lots of gimmiks. great beer, great food, great prices. Easily the best pub in in the area. as arnie said "ill be back"

The Jug Inn, Chapel Haddlesey

nice enough place but quite pricey for the area and the service wasn't the best, took a long while to get served. didnt try the food but what i assume was the restaurant looked full. not bad, better pubs in the area though
