The Camel, Bethnal Green

Really lovely pub. Felt like the interior of a cosy rail carriage. Tables and chairs outside. Didn't try the food but smelled yummy. Efficient, friendly bartender. Good beer selection. Nice mix of clientele with some pretty decent background music - not at all intrusive but loud enough to add to the ambience. Nice little find, shall be back.

The Florist, Bethnal Green

Popped in here with friend after having passed it a few times and thought it looked quite pleasant. Wrong. Rude and unattentive bar staff. Not a smile between the two of them and were clearly far too busy contemplating their own fabulous-ness to serve me a drink. Stood at the bar with cash clearly in hand for about 4 minutes - barman was texting on his phone and barwoman had popped out for fag. Very loud music. Dirty tables. Generally rubbish. Went up the road to The Camel - was exactly what we were looking for! Take note, Florist.
