The Three Horseshoes, Abbots Ripton

Having had several lovely meals at this delightful country pub with friends and business colleagues, I went with wife and family to celebrate our wedding anniversary last month. Very poor quality food, served slowly in an empty pub. After asking for my meal to be removed and taken from the bill, I had to suffer an argument (in front of my family) with the �chef� about the difference in 21 day hung meat and �normal steak�� no mention of the bullet chips, the raw tomato garnish and the soaked droopy mushroom� Cutting a long story short, I was asked to leave the pub as I was �no longer welcome�, �pay for the drinks and get out�� Well mine host seems to have his name over the door� the �chef� is one of the landlords! In an environment where Village Pubs need all the custom they can get perhaps a customers justifiable complaint could have been handled better. Perhaps it was just an off day? The beer is allways very good here. Hence a rating of 2. Customer service by the landlord gets a zero.
