The Elmdon Dial, Saffron Walden

Great village pub. Best cod & chips in miles! Nices selection of bar meals (from about �6) and an attached restaurant for a wider choice. Meet George the pub cat, who sometimes thinks he's a Rottwieller! Friendly locals bar. Camra winning beer. Usually a guest ale too. Have been to Tuesday Quiz Night a few times. Quiz and a bar meal for (I think) �8 (inc. donation to pub's favaourite charity). Always room to sit and get to the bar as off the main route (about 10 mins from Walden). Highly recommended!
