Totally agree with bestbarmaid! I walk past Cristalz every evening and the stench always makes me want to retch. If the boss really is concerned about his bar's prospects, he'd be wise to invest in some air freshener!

The Barmy Arms, Twickenham

I'm a local and I practically live here in summer! Great location and quality food. Service can be poor though... I've avoided this place on several sunny afternoons because I couldn't be bothered waiting 20 minutes for a pint.

The White Hart, Crystal Palace

Fantastic pub. Went here for a quiet drink on a Wednesday night and it was packed! Filled up even more about 9pm when a jazz duo came on. Love the decor, the range of beers and the food in here. Only downer is the surly staff. Can't agree with people who say this place is pretentious - it's like unless it has a toothless barmaid and sawdust on the floor it's not worthy. What's wrong with something a bit different?!
