The Crofters Arms, Bolton

Stumbled on this place in a search for Saturday afternoon PubLunch. Seemed nice enough, plenty of parking and generally clean even through Friday night was not a million miles ago.

Barstaff were helpful and polite.

Food was terrible - an amazing combination of burnt _and_ swimming in grease. This problem was across both courses for both meals.

Not sure if the waitress was hungover, but she didn't have a particularily nice attitude.

We had asked ourselves why the food seemed so cheap when we first sat down, unfortunately it's obviously at the expense of inadequately trained kitchen and front-of-house staff.

Maybe we just got unlucky, there were a few other people eating there who didn't look quite as disgusted as us.
