The Royal Oak, Pirbright

Despite a few negative comments thought we'd give the pub a go for a family visit. Spotted the fan heater mentioned in previous reviews and ended up keeping our coats on for the duration of the visit ( which was nearly very much shorter than planned due their surreal demand that those ordering soft drinks must present ID - given the youngest in our party was 30 we'd all given up on carrying ID many years ago!! Ordering wine instead removed the demand for ID?!)
The meals were nothing special and in many cases a bit dry and overcooked, but for the ticket prices on the menu it came across as very steep for what was served.
For those with babies you should note there are no baby changing facilities - the woman at the table next to us was complaining she had to change her baby on the toilet floor. On the plus side the pub is completely no smoking and that is a boon.
